Ethical Handbook for UK Growers
UK growers are increasingly coming under the scrutiny of the media and campaigners looking to check how workers are treated on farms around the UK.
Recent media stories about the activities of illegal gangmasters, failures to pay the minimum wage and the exploitation of foreign labour have made this a top priority for all growers. But, as the law becomes ever more complicated, it is harder for small businesses to keep up with changes and implement the required systems.
This on-line handbook is intended to help growers to understand the requirements of the law so that they can meet legal and "ethical" requirements in this area.
